Filters:

You may not have noticed, but our Needs page has a wide variety of filters, so that you can find a volunteer opportunity that best matches your needs and interests. For example: are you looking for something indoors only? Click 'Outdoors,' then 'Is Not Outdoors' from the dropdown menu that appears, then hit the SEARCH button underneath. Most filters work just like this.

Filter dropdown menu, with options 'Age', 'Agency', 'Available Slots', 'County', 'Date', Distance', 'Family Friendly', 'Interest', 'Outdoors', 'Teams', 'Virtual Need', and 'Wheelchair Accessible.'          'Is Not Outdoors' filter selected, with Search and Cancel buttons underneath

If you can, try and take a moment to check out the available Interests that you can filter by on the Needs page as well, including Board Service, Accepts Court Mandated, Tutoring, Group Volunteering, and more!

Fanning and Contacting Agencies:

While some agencies may not have specific needs listed on the site, or the needs they have listed aren't a good fit for you for whatever reason, try reaching out to them using the contact information you can find around the bottom right of their page. They may be able to find something specific for you! If they can't, make sure to fan them to get notified when they post new needs or events. Don't forget to double-check that you're all set up to receive emails from us!

 Volunteer Resume:

Did you know that you can export a summary of all your hours, perfect for sharing with a teacher or manager to show them the hours you've worked? Look for the 'View Your Full Volunteer Resume' button on your dashboard underneath your Hours by Interest. Don't forget to put the start and end dates you're interested in showing hours between, and hit GO when you're finished!
