Who We Are

Danville-Pittsylvania Cancer is a local non-profit organization serving those diagnosed with cancer in the City of Danville and Pittsylvania County areas. We are not a chapter of the American Cancer Society; therefore, all donations received are used to support our mission of providing cancer-related prescriptions, travel reimbursement, and medical supplies/equipment. We receive grants from the Community Foundation, Danville Regional Foundation, J.T. Minnie Maude Charitable Trust, the Centra Foundation, and we are a part of the “Get Healthy Dan River” program of the United Way of Danville and Pittsylvania County. We not only offer financial assistance, but offer support groups to give those affected by cancer, including survivors, caregivers, and those actively receiving treatment, a way to meet with others to help through their cancer battle. Our overall mission is Unravel the Effects of Cancer. Our vision and goal for the future is to continue to provide quality services for local cancer patients, helping them to live a better quality of life.
