Who We Are
Henry County Food Pantry is dedicated to alleviate hunger and food insecurity within our community, while giving a holistic support through our clothes closet where the community can have access to clothes, household and hygiene items, and pet food. Our mission is to help families in need become self-sufficient while focusing on healthier options to combat nutritional chronic disease issues prevalent in our area. Volunteer-operated and focused, we are committed to fostering a supportive and empowered community, working tirelessly to make a positive difference in the lives of those we serve.
What We Do
At the Henry County Food Pantry, our mission is to address hunger and food insecurity in our community, while promoting self-sufficiency and healthier living. We accomplish this through a combination of internal programs and strategic investments in community initiatives. Internal Programs include:
- Food Distribution: Ensuring families have access to nutritious food through our monthly food distribution events and weekly clothes closet.
- Clothes Closet: Providing clothing, hygiene items, and household necessities to support families holistically.
Community Partnerships include:
- Referral Program: Partnering with local companies to offer additional support to families referred through our referral program, ensuring they receive extra items to meet their needs.
- Community Health and Wellness: Partnering with community health organizations to offer nutrition classes and promote healthier living choices among our clients.
Through these programs and partnerships, we are dedicated to making a positive impact and improving the lives of individuals and families in Henry County.
