The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention- Virginia Chapter is hosting a Pencil Party for prospective volunteers in the area. This event is the kickoff event of the year for the Danville South-Central Out of the Darkness Walk Fundraiser for Suicide Prevention.
Volunteers will write positive words on pencils to give to teachers in local schools. The event will also include information on how to volunteer with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention this year! Donations are needed of No. 2 pencils and water bottles. No donations are required to volunteer. Volunteers will also enjoy refreshments during the event.
