The Henry County Food Pantry seeks dedicated volunteers to support our operations and ensure smooth, efficient service for our neighbors. Volunteers for donation sorting, organization, and food packing are needed every Wednesday from 9 AM - 12 PM.
Tasks include:
- Sorting and organizing donations, including toys, clothing, household items, and other essentials, ensuring all items meet quality standards.
- Reorganizing and replenishing the Clothes Closet shelves with hygiene items, household supplies, and clothing, ensuring items are accessible and well arranged for distribution.
- Assisting with food packing by working along a packing line, placing canned goods, dry items, and other essential food items into boxes for distribution on Mondays.
Volunteers in this role support crucial preparation work for Monday distributions, helping us maintain a well organized Clothes Closet and assemble essential food boxes. Volunteers make a tremendous impact by ensuring our neighbors receive the quality items and food they need.
