If you want to get hands-on with helping some of the most vulnerable people in our community and you consider yourself a ‘people-person’ – then we would love for you to volunteer your time at House of Hope as a Guest Check-In Assistant.
A Guest Check-In Assistant for House of Hope works directly with the shelter and provides an extra set of hands, eyes, and ears for our shelter staff. During check-in, things can be a little busy inside of House of Hope. As a volunteer, you would be responsible for:
- Greeting guests at the front door
- Access to paper goods pantry (Towels, Plates, Toilet Paper, etc.)
- Responding to guest needs and questions
- Listening to the stories of our guests
- Adopting the message and mission of House of Hope to serve our guests with love, dignity, and empathy.
