America's Sunday Suppers is a once yearly event inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s idea of having people of diverse backgrounds interact personally while sharing a meal. This event is traditionally hosted by the Averett University Community Engagement & Career Competitiveness along with other organizations.
America's Sunday Suppers - The Monthly Series, will be a series that includes dinner and conversations around varying community concerns such as Maternal Health, Mental Health, Nutrition, and many other topics. The Danville Redevelopment and Housing Authority (DRHA), the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) and Averett University will present the following Sunday Suppers and topics to the residents and surrounding community of the DRHA housing developments.
