Kindness with Purpose, a faith based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, hosts monthly Laundry & Literacy events providing families with access to clean clothing and free books in a welcoming, community-centered environment.
What we do:
Cover the cost of washers and dryers at public laundromats
Provide free detergent and laundry supplies
Provide free books for children and families
Share resources and connect families to support
Serve approximately 25 families at each event
Why it Matters:
Families often must choose between laundry and other essential expenses
Clean clothing supports confidence, school attendance, and employment opportunities
Access to books at home is limited for many children
Removing these barriers helps families show up prepared for work, school, and daily life
