Greetings all~
I previously mentioned our community garden and the opportunity to manage 2-3 garden plots. We today, myself and three other students went to scope out the condition, it's not bad but needs cleaning up. If you're interested in helping with the clean-up, join us Saturday, November 14th at 8 am. The garden is located in the same parking lot as the Community Marketplace (within walking distance from the apartments). 629 Craghead Street. If you're interested in helping to maintain the garden, please let me know. Here's what I need:
- Individuals that have "green" thumb
- People who love gardening
- Responsible people to help maintain and upkeep the garden plots
- Anyone that's an expert in the best items to have in the garden.
I am not good with gardening, but it's therapeutic. Please come dressed in comfortable clothing and shoes that you don't mind getting dirty. I'll have gloves and other supplies on hand. There are also basic tools along with a drip irrigation system on site.
