Who We Are
Established in 2013, Blue Bloods Thoroughbred Adoption and Placement, Inc. (BBTAP) is a non-profit thoroughbred adoption program dedicated to providing retired racehorses a second career and a healthy life after retirement. Our organization's goal is to find qualified adoptive homes for off the track thoroughbreds.
What We Do
Our program evaluates each horse and his needs. While in our program, the horse is rehabilitated, rested and then retrained. In addition, we take in off the track thoroughbred horses and retrain them with the help of Averett University's equestrian department. BBTAP is located at Melrose Farm in Blanch, North Carolina just south of Danville, Virginia.
