Ridgeway District Volunteer Rescue Squad, INC.

Ridgeway Volunteer Rescue Squad is a nonprofit, all-volunteer emergency services organization founded in 1976 and proudly celebrating our 50th anniversary in 2026. For half a century, our members — trained EMTs, paramedics, and rescue personnel — have donated their time and skills to protect and serve our neighbors. We are friends, family, and community members united by a shared commitment to helping others in their most critical moments. Our squad operates entirely on volunteer effort and community support, and we remain dedicated to the mission of saving lives and serving Ridgeway for generations to come.

Ridgeway Volunteer Rescue Squad provides emergency medical services, rescue, and community support to the residents of Ridgeway and the surrounding areas of Henry County, Virginia. Our volunteers respond to 911 calls around the clock, delivering pre-hospital emergency medical care, patient transport, and technical rescue services. Beyond emergency response, we support our community through public education, standby coverage at local events, and outreach programs that promote safety and preparedness. As a volunteer organization, we rely on the dedication of our members and the generosity of our community to continue serving those in need.
