We are looking for volunteers to help on race day with registration, water stations, awards ceremony, providing runners/walkers directions on the course, and cheering on the participants! Registration begins at 7 am, the Children's Fun Run begins at 8:30 am, and the 5K begins at 9 am. Awards will begin after the last participant crosses the finish line. Volunteer: Spotter/Side-Walker for Special Needs RidersTackfully Teamed Riding Academy serves individuals with disabilities, allowing them an opportunity to improve their physical, mental, emotional, and social lives through equine therapy and horse related activities. We are seeking volunteers who can walk beside a horse during a lesson to act as a spotter, side-walker, or leader for special-needs riders. No previous experience with horses is needed. We provide all training at our center. Volunteers may also groom and tack horses, help with school and ground equine activities, help with fundraisers, clean tack, perform barn chores, assist administrative duties in the office, or help do arts and crafts with children in our classroom. We do require an application and waiver to be filled out before participating. It can be filled out in person. But there is a LINK HERE to fill it out in advance. We also welcome teams who want to come for the day or an afternoon to help with landscaping or repairs, interns in equine and health-science related educational programs, those who need community service hours, and veterans.
